Hi All,
i have just been watching the guitar cake tutorial and Paul puts the florist wire directly into the cake. Any suggestions of how to attach the 6 wires as obviously we are not allowed to put wires directly into the cake. I thought about posy picks, but I would probably need to buy 12 or 18 and it will add to the cost of the cake.

Hi Jackie I may be wrong but I think the wires fit into the sugarpaste parts of the guitar.

Just had a look at the tut and I agree with gina, I think the wires do go into the grey sausages. If you still want to have them in a sleeve, you could use the very thin drinking straws instead of posy picks. Problem here would be the amount of small objects inside the cake which could get consumed if not careful. x

Thanks for your answers, at the bottom of the guitar he place the wires into the sugarpaste, but where he joins the wires on the fret board and at the top where you would tune the guitar he puts the wires into the cake. Lesson 7
I will have to think what to do.
