Hi I have made and frozen 3 chocolate cakes which I’m going to layer making 6 layers. The lady at work would like to eat it Saturday. Please could you tell me how early I can start decorating it? I’m going to cover it in ganache. Thankyou for your help xx

Hi Smurf

If it’s Paul’s moist chocolate cake or another mud cake recipe, it should be fine to start it on Wednesday to give a good eating shelf life of five days or more placed in a cake box, stored in a cool environment. Advise the customer on storage instructions. As with all defrosted food, the cake shouldn’t be frozen again. Hope this helps. xx

Oh Thankyou so much for answering. I’m a bit new at this. I don’t even know how to use the site properly yet, or even if my message had got through ??
