Satin ribbon

Hi , can someone be so kind and let me know which width of satin ribbon would be best to use around middle tier of wedding cake it’s to have a bow and a brooch attached , I’m unsure if it is usually the norm to use 25mm or 38mm cakes will be 4″ deep
Any help much appreciated .

It’s personal preference and also depends on how big the brooch and bow are. If its a big bow and brooch use the wider ribbon or vise versa. For ideas how it would look, cut strips of parchment paper to the widths you’dlike to use and wrap them around a cake pan, then choose which you like best.
