Mulitpule Cake Baking

HI

This is probably a stupid question but does anyone know if 2x4inch and 2x5inch round Christmas cakes will take any longer to bake than say just having one larger cake in the oven, which of course would be a waste of time etc. But just curious to know. Also do you think that the quantity for an 8 or 9inch Christmas cake would suffice if divided up between the 4 tins?

Thanks very much. xx

Hello bellscakes

The 9 inch recipe will be suffcient to make the above number of cakes. They will take less time to bake than one large cake on it’s own because the heat has less distance to travel to get to the centre of the batter.
