Hi, I’ve been asked to make a cake with a lignum vitae flower on it. I realise that you can’t buy a cuttr for every flower but was wondering what I could use. Any suggestions? Many thanks.

I’ve just had a quick look at the Lignum Vitae flower, it’s really lovely. I think the best tutorial to view on site which can be adapted is star gazer lilly https://www.cakeflix.com/online-cake-decorating-courses/stargazer-lily
The leaf/flower shapes are fairly similar and so are the centres. Have a look also at the latest tutorial ‘silver elegance’ and see how Paul uses a metal rose cutter to make small leaves and wires them. Both these tutorials will be excellent guides. There are different varieties so it will help you to download an image of the one you’ve been asked to make. Hope this helps but if you need more information just post again.

ps you’d need to make the leaves a lot smaller, sorry not to have made that clear, it’s the shape which is similar.
