gumpaste flamenco dancer

Hi need some advice. I am making a two tier cake 6 and 4 inch and have cut out in flower paste a flamenco dancer which will be [placed against the cake. Thing is do I butt the 4 inch cake up against the 6 inch so that the top half of the figure and the bottom align OR do I put the 4 inch in the middle as usual- attach the top body to this then fill in the gap between the 2 cakes with the dancers dress ruffles. Cant make me mind up. need cake for Tuesday.
