Freezing a cake with ganache

On Pauls tutorial on ganaching a cake , he says this can be done in advance then put in a cardboard box and frozen until needed, does he wrap the cake in anything or just put it into the box to harden.

Thank you ,

Nicky 223.

Hi Nicky223

It better to cover the cake up first with cling film to give it additional protection from freezer burn. It really depends how long you will be freezing the cake for. I usually do several layers of cling and place in the box. There is lots of information on the site about freezing cake, just type in the above search box ‘freezing cake’ to view all the different comments and senarios. Hope this helps.
