Defrosting cake

Hi there quick question
I have recently just finished a cake for a friend, problem is the cake was frozen for a week and the friend said they needed it for Friday so I defrosted the cake on Tuesday carved it filled with buttercream and jam and covered with fondant on the Tuesday, did decoration work on me wed & thu & they collected that evening.
I’m now advised it’s not actually required until the Saturday.
I know this is out with my control but will an extra day dry the cake out? I’m terribly worried it will and they will be disappointed with a dry cake.
I always find freezing my cake as defrosting 3-4 days once defrosted is still nice & moist.
Please hope someone can reassure me all will be ok

Bearing in mind it’s sealed with buttercream and decoration the cake itself won’t be open to the atmosphere so should be ok 🙂 xx

The icing will keep it airtight so it should be totally fine.
