Cake servings advice

I have been asked to make a three tier fruit cake and it has to serve 60 people. Looked at different charts and they differ. Please can someone advise me what size cakes to bake please? Don’t mind if one tier is a dummy, as long as I bake enough for 60, but want it as a decorated three tier cake

Hi Tomandhen123

Fruit cake is usually served in finger slices measuring 1″ x 1″ but really it’s up to the host how big a slice they want to give out. The site cake portion calculator will work out how many cakes you need to bake, whether round or square. See the calculator here: https://www.cakeflix.com/cake-calculators

Click on the shape cake you want and then the size, the answer of portions according the size of cake will be given below.

Hope this helps but if you need more information just post again. 🙂
