Learn Paul’s thought process in coming up with this design, which was for a friend’s wedding so the pressure’s on!
Adding the bark
Paul gets the Karen Davies moulds out and gets busy making sections of the bark to cover the dummies as well as the cake drum.
Airbrushing the bark
Paul now brings the bark to life with some delicate airbrush work using a mixture of colours.
Making the buttercream
This is definitely worth watching, well it’s the tasting that’s the fun part. Paul shows us how to make some yummy coloured buttercream that’s sure to be a big hit.
Finishing the cupcakes
Paul now adds his finishing touches to the cupcakes, with sprinkles of chocolate and other tasty additions here and there, before them on the stand.
Making the decorations
It’s time to get the moulds and cutter out as well as some nice edible dusts and dragees. If Paul had a little more time on his hands he would be adding birds and all kinds of wonderful things…maybe you could have a go and let us see what you come up with?
