Heike Darmstädter

Heike Darmstädter

What developed as a small hobby became a great passion... So she united her love for art and her passion to bake. Heike lives with her three sons and her husband on a idyllic farm near Frankfurt in Germany. She is a trained florist, but since a short time she no longer works in her profession. So Heike can devote herself entirely to her sugarpassion. In the year 2012 she came to the extraordinary and wonderful hobby through her children. So she designed her first cakes. Heike´s particular favourite is to draw on fondant. 2014 she took part in her first competition and won “gold” and “best of class”. Since then she has become more and more successful. Competitions with high awards like “gold” and “best of class” followed. 2016 she took part in her first international competition in Birmingham. In the category “ Fantasy flowers” she won “gold” (2nd place). In the meantime, she is a judge in Germany and Austria. She composes tutorials for sugar magazines and won a German bake show on TV. Her greatest passion is giving courses in sugarart.  So Heike teaches painting on sugar, making sugar flowers and modelling with lots of fun and love to her classes. Her motto: Only what you do with passion, you do right !
