Barbara introduces us to her magical Italian Fairies cake.
Models are always popular - especially when they look as good as this. The detail is incredible. and of course once you've mastered this cake, you can take on pretty much any other design involving models! This cake would be perfect for a party and could be adapted into a fun and quirky wedding cake.
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to do advanced modelling, including creating different facial expressions, making an entire face from one piece of sugarpaste, creating incredibly realistic limbs, painting beautifully realistic eyes, making cute decorations and much more. This cake is ideal for an intermediate to advanced cake designer, and is a fantastic cake to have in your portfolio.

We'd love to see your take on the Italian Fairies - so make sure you share your snaps with us on our Facebook page.
