Guidance

With the exception of chocolate covered cake, never store your cake in the fridge before display as the lower temperature may damage the icing.

Ensure that all non-edible decoation is removed from the cake before serving. If you are at all unsure of what is or isn\'t edible please contact the designer who\'s name will be displayed on the label on your cake box.

Fruit Cake

Properly stored fruit cake can be kept for many years. The best means of storing is to wrap the cake in greaseproof paper, then in tin foil and store in a cool dry place in a sealed container. For best results sprinkle Brandy over the cake every 3 months.

Maderia Sponge, Chocolate, Lemon drizzle, Toffee and Carrot cake

The cake can be kept uncut for 7 days (5 days for Maderia sponge). After display the cake is best kept in the fridge, however, please note that the icing may go moist and dis-colour. The longer the cake is stored the drier it will become.

Once cut the cake should be eaten that day.

If you plan to freeze your cake please notify us in advance to ensure that your cake is not frozen in the preparation process.
