This chocolate cake sounds great, but I need a vegan recipe (no eggs or milk products). Do you have a suggestion of how to convert this recipe to be vegan friendly? And if not are there any vegan cake recipes that you would recommend — chocolate or otherwise?

If you type in the above search box ‘dairy free’ there are lots of comments and links which may help. I know it’s trawling through them however they all have something useful to say. There are many vegan recipes online, see them by googling ‘vegan chocolate cake recipe’. I like the look of the recipe offered by Instructables, looks delicious. With most special diet recipes it’s always best to make half a dozen small cakes and choose one which you favour most. It’s a case of perfecting what’s already out there or being lucky enough to stumble on a good one from the start. I hope you find one, if you do, your feedback would be much appreciated so that other members can benefit from your find. x
