Hi, was wondering if you could shape cake instead of paper for the angel cake top. Also what material is the paper used for the top?

I guess it could be done if you kept stacking the cakes up in decreasing sizes and kept carving. Perhaps it could also be moulded from a mixture of cake and ganache, although I don’t know how stable the structure would be without a centre dowel I made mine from rice krispie treats which worked well. The cone used in the Angel cake is a styrofoam dummy and can be bought online from places like dummies direct uk.
