Store a cake

I am making my daughters wedding cake and would like some advise on how to store the cake after it has been iced with fondant. I live in the tropical north of Australia. The wedding is on an island so will be travelling on a boat to get there.
Thanks for the help

Hi gitte62

This is a tough one! I can only suggest that you use dry ice to keep the cake cool. If you search in youtube ‘Caljava dry ice’ there’s a tutorial on how to make a delivery box and the use of dry ice. The tutorial is just a very small guide. Dry ice has to be handled carefully as it can give severe burns if protective gloves are not used. Cars or other confined spaces have to be ventilated.
I’m sure you will have dry ice for domestic use suppliers in your state. For suppliers google ‘dry ice for domestic use’. They will be able to provide full instructions on use, handling and ventilation.
It must be a stressful time for you, hope all goes well.
