Mrs Jones Toffee Cake

Hi, I made Mrs Jones’s delicious toffee cake for a friend and now my friend has asked me to make her sisters 30th birthday cake using this recipe. My question is how much extra flour would you add to make it stable enough to cover with fondant? Has anyone tried using this as a stacking cake?

Hello tgilbertson

Mrs Jones advised me that just the flour in her recipes should be increased by between 10 -20% to make them stable for stacking. I’m sure Mrs Jones would be delighted to give you a direct answer if you contact her here:

Hope this helps.
