Leaky cake tins

Hi, can anyone help please? I’ve been using both loose bottom and springform tins (of reasonable quality) but they keep leaking cake mixture all over my oven. What am I doing wrong?

I line the bottom and sides of mine with parchment paper. That seems to prevent if happening. Make the bottom wider then the base, snip rounded the circle and then put into tin and put side paper over the snipped bits. Hope this helps x

For more tips Diane take a look how Paul lines his pans here

The lining of the cake ring is particularly helpful I think.

I cut a piece of parchment paper, place on top of the bottom of the loose tin, put the spring tin on top then fasten the lock , cut away the excess paper from the side
Then line the sides works every time no leaks.

Thank you all for your advice. I will try these out and hopefully won’t have such a messy oven anymore! Xxx
