Hi I have a customer asking so a cake on Sunday but I will be away on the Friday! Can a cake be decorated and left for a few days? It will be a vanilla sponged with jam and white chocolate ganache. Thanks
Hi The cake will be fine i used to worry about this, but feedback proved otherwise. If your worried it will dry out , you can always add stock syrup ( 110g caster sugar & 150ml water- boiled then simmered for 2-3
mins). once cooled paint the mixture to each section of cake before adding the fillings. Its a bakers secret Lol x
P.s forgot to say, keep in a sealed jar the mixture will last a couple of weeks in the fridge x
I did that with a jam sponge for Easter – everyone cxommented how moist it was!
