Hello Emmy

Yes you can, however the buttercream will be pretty dense even once defrosted. Normally when buttercream has been frozen and brought back to room temperature it benefits from being re-beaten to bring it back to a fluffy consistency. Other than that, there is nothing wrong with the texture in the mouth or taste.
