Hi, is the luster paint always prepared starting with a white pearl dust base , and then adding color dusts? If lustering with a dark color, do I start with the white base and then add dark dust colors to this? She mentioned painting on top of the silver leaf, what kind of paint do I use for this, gel colors with a brush?Thanks!

Faye Cahill says to start with coloured fondant and dust if you want darker colours. You can hear her saying it here
