Hi, I came across this page accidentally, and can I just say I’m very glad I did, been through the free videos and they’re great, so have now joined membership,and loving it. I’m new to the cake baking world, and love it, have made a few cakes and now have people asking me to make celebration cakes for them, I have held a food hygiene licence for 8 years , do I need to seek approval from enviromental health before I can charge for cakes? I’m a bit worried as I have a very small kitchen, and only have a 1.5 sink, , and 1 fridge, but do have an seperate out building which holds my equipment,,Is this adequate enough? as I’ve heard some scary stories, I’m only looking to have a small hobby/ buisness,

In my experience it is always advisable/ necessary to check with your local authority about what their requirements are. They will come and make an inspection and let you know what changes you need to make if any. UK food laws are extremely stringent so best err on the side of caution.
