decorating xmas cake

hi was wondering once a christmas cake has been baked the covered in brandy over a period of 3 monthes can i decorate the xmas cake 1 month before xmas day xxx

I usually decorate 2 weeks before Christmas because I like my cakes to have a final feed and the decorations still look nice and fresh for Christmas. If you want to decorate it a month before the day you can do, the cake will continue maturing under the marzipan and icing. It must be stored covered in a cardboard cake box and kept in a cool room away from direct heat sources like radiators.
