Are the chocolate cakes you use come from your very own chocolate cake recipe of this site?

can you not just cover a cake in butter cream and then sugerpaste it? or is it best to ganache all the time?

Thanks

Hi Emily

I hope the answer in this link helps. There is a further link within it which holds an answer from Paul

Pre-mix cakes v fresh ingredients

Certainly butter cream can be used instead of ganache. Paul says ganache is his preferred medium but you can use butter cream if it is yours.
For all butter cream information Paul has 8 comprehensive lessons here:

Hope this helps. Enjoy! x
