Condensed Milk (Caramel)

I just submtted a question about Toffee cake and was directed straight to Ask a question website but was unable to get any help from there.

If possible can somebody please answer a query regarding adding a tin of condensed milk to a normal vanilla cake recipe to achieve toffee cake? Also I’m keen to know if Catherine’s recipe for toffee cake needs plain or S.R flour and wither or not it’s baked in a round, or square10inch tin. Many thanks x

There are 3 pages of answers and each one gives useful information so well worth a read through.

For quick reference see answer given by member alison64 on pg1 for the condensed milk, pg 2 & 3 covers size of pan, baking time and type of flour used. Hope this helps.
