Cakes for rugby ball
Just to clarify… each cake for the rugby ball is 3″ deep therefore the 13″ in total should be 6″ worth of cake?

That’s how I read it from the tutorial. The 13″ cakes will be 6″ tall when stacked together. Obviously the top and the bottom of the egg should be balanced. The dummy is 12″ tall and all 4 cakes are 3 inches tall giving 12″ in total to make the complete egg shape. In the tutorial you’ll see Paul measuring and checking the height of the cakes as he contiues to build the layers. This should help allay any worries you have about the depth as you continue to build your own layers. Hope you managed to get the dummy ok.
