Hi
Does any body know how I account in my business accounts for cakes that I make for charities ?
Also if I make a cake for family and gift it to them do I need to account this?

Hi Rachael

The way these kind of expenses are introduced into business accounts is not straightward so, you would need to discuss these issues with your accountant if you have one. If you don’t have an accountant, I suggest that you make an appointment with your local inland revenue office for guidance. I know from personal experience just how helpful the inland revenue is. They will bend over backwards to help, just be open with them.
