Hello Sabakhan

The term fondant is American and relates to the ingredient known as sugarpaste or roll out icing. It is the same thing. However, most people now use the term ‘fondant’ to mean sugarpaste.

In the UK, fondant icing is something quite different, it is a thick liquid icing used for dipping little fancy cakes. The icing looks a little like royal icing but this one remains soft and silky when eaten. This fondant should not be mistaken for the other term ‘fondant’.

I don’t know which bag tutorial you have watched. If you are enthusiastic about bags, Paul has several other bag tutorials in the premium library. Hope you find them and enjoy learning how to make them all.
Hope this helps.
