Hi David

Is there a recipe to work from so the total quantites can be worked out?

Hi Madeitwithlove
The recipe seems to be a blank canvass so perhaps something cost effective, but perhaps Ruth can answer where they are getting baked and if there’s a particular recipe to follow?
Ruth was having difficulty posting the question but will be checking back regularly.
Thanks 🙂

Hello Ruth

Here is a basic cupcake recipe for 24 cupcakes:
225g butter
225 caster sugar
4 medium eggs
225g self raising flour
5ml ( 1 teaspoon) vanilla extract

This is a basic butter cream recipe enough for the above:
225g butter
5ml (1 teaspoon) vanilla extract
450g icing sugar
40ml cold water or milk

To Scale up for 3, 500 cupcakes multiply each of the ingredients by 146 ( which is 3, 500 divided by 24)

To scale up the buttercream multiply each of the ingredients by 146 and as above.

There’s no messing about with baking powder here, it’s a straightforward recipe. The calculation process can be used for any recipe of your choice.

Good luck with the bake off! if you need more information please post again.
