Congratulations to Craig and Jennifer Gordon

Scotland goalie Craig (and Jennifer) Gordon tied the knot on the 6th June with a stunning reception at Harburn House, West Lothian.

They chose a stylish four tier Calla Diamante cake from Truly Scrumptious similar to the one shown below. They loved all the cake samples so opted for different flavours on each of the tiers. The top was toffee followed by chocolate, lemon and sponge. To go for the full set they had a separate fruit cutting cake.

With the football season now over I’m sure Craig and Jenifer will be off somewhere where the weather’s a bit better to enjoy there honeymoon. Congratulations!!

I’ve made cakes for my family over the years learning new skills with every effort. I always make a point of looking in your shop window whenever I visit Linlithgow to admire and be inspired by your cakes. I’m told that you now run cake decorating courses. While browing your website for details I’ve come accross the beautiful cala diamante wedding cake. Can I ask how you attach the individual diamante to the sugarpaste icing.

hi Margaret,
Thanks for your kind comments. The diamantes (from Culpitt Ltd) come on on wired stems. We cut the stem so there’s about an inch that can go into the cake. We treat the diamante and sten, wrap in florist tape then insert into the cake. Hope this helps.
